In order to replace the aging phone system at Matirko Hardware, a VOIP phone system using a Grandstream UCM6204 PBX, in addition to Grandstream devices was installed and configured in order to meet the demands of the business. Currently, the devices are connected through 2 FXO analog (POTS) ports, although SIP is already configured and ready for changeover at a moment's notice.
Using UVC cameras, a Ubiquiti brand NVR, and a Seagate NAS with 8TB drives installed, a security camera system was designed and installed at Matirko Hardware (including running and terminating CAT5e, and mounting and installing the camera hardware). The NVR is accessable over the web, in order to ensure that the site can be monitored from anywhere desired. (Image source: Ubiquiti Networks)
In order to meet growing demands on the network, changes were required in order to scale up the capacity of the hardware store's aging network. Previous hardware consisted of a multitude of 10/100 switches with no clear order. This was all replaced with a Ubiquiti networks system, including a Unifi 48 port Gig switch, a USG, and also a change from DSL to cable internet, saving hundreds of dollars per month.
